Poetry Rivals Slam Champion 2016

After an amazing slam final, we are pleased to announce that the Poetry Rivals Slam Champion 2016 is Keshia Starrett from Derry! Keshia performed her winning poem 'In Canada They Call It Tylenol' and has won a pamphlet publishing package with the fantastic Burning Eye Books.

"I'm absolutely overwhelmed and extremely grateful to have won, especially considering the high standard of the competition. Most of all I'm very excited to work with Burning Eye Books as I know some of the authors they've published previously and I've been told they're great to work with!

Winning was really the cherry on the cake for me as I had enjoyed the slam final so much on the night. It was a very encouraging atmosphere and I'd like to thank the judges, the performers and everyone who organised it for making it such a great experience and showing so much support to everyone who was performing."
